Nestled along the banks of the beautiful, deep waters of the Tchefuncte River lies the historic, nostalgic Town of Madisonville, Louisiana. Madisonville is located north of Lake Pontchartrain, approximately 40 miles from New Orleans. The town is easily accessible from the south via the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway and from the north taking I-12 to LA Highway 21 South to LA Highway 22 and the Tchefuncte River.

Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. We are the little town named for the Mahone Bay and its 365 islands, whose sparkling waters offer a unique setting for some world-class sailing and boating. Small town friendly, big town services. The Town of Maidstone, population of 1200 people and growing is situated in an oil rich area, with agriculture being our main industry. Maidstone was founded in 1905 and incorporated in 1955. The park and museum grounds are mostly maintained by volunteers.
